April 1 - 3, 2011 a group of Children’s Ministry advocates met at Camp Berkshire for our Creative Arts Ministry Workshop.  We learned how to tell stories, write and present puppet skits, new ways for Praise and worship and different approaches for prayer.

Three of our attendees received their certificates for having completed the Prayer Ministry course, and one for having completed the Basic training course.

VBS was on the agenda for Sunday morning.  The theme for this year is “Gone Fishin”.  Candy Devore from the Review and Herald was with us to help present the program.  We had our Bible lesson, sampled the snacks, played games and made crafts.  Of course, music was a very important part of the program as well.  Prizes were given if you had a number under your chair which had everyone looking.

The Children’s Ministry Advisory shared the 5 C’s of Christianity which are Creation, Conflict, Commandments, Cross and Coming verbally and with hand signal.  This is a good way you or a child can share Jesus and his love for us in under one minute using your hands.  All of us have at least a minute each day that we can share.
