A New Light is Born

On March 24, 2012 the Administrators of the Greater New York Conference organized the East Hampton group into a Company with thirty-one members.

With the purpose of expanding the kingdom of God, in 2007 Brother Roberto Cifuentes, member of the Riverhead Seventh-day Adventist Church in New York, received God's call to open a Small Group in the eastern part of New York, where no church had been previously founded. As patriarch Abraham did, he came with his family to explore new horizons in order to shine a light with the gospel of Jesus.

The first meeting was held at the home of the Alvarado family. It took almost one year to celebrate the first baptism. With God’s help, under the leadership of Pastor Marco A. Molina and the support of the mother church Riverhead they have seen their cherished dream come true.

The Hispanic Ministries Department thanks God for His goodness, and expresses sincere congratulations to the committed laity and pastors who worked with limited financial resources and have seen the glory of God. Special gratitude is also expressed to the administrators of the Greater New York Conference for the support and participation in the organization ceremony.
